Credit & Mercantile lends to private individuals, trusts,
and limited companies based both in the UK and offshore. Whatever your circumstances,
talk to us and we can consider your individual needs. If you’re self-employed
or are a company with no credit history or accounts, we’ll still probably
be able to offer a bridging loan, as the decision on the loan is primarily
based on your security rather than your income.
Our bridging loans are normally from £75,000 to £5,000,000 and
from one week to twelve months, with attractive terms linked to bank base
rate. Dependent upon your proposal, we will consider short-term bridging loans
outside this range.
You will usually repay just the interest on your bridging loan, although lump sum repayments are also possible to help reduce both the outstanding balance and the size of your repayments. As bridging loans are a short-term loan and considered riskier than a long-term mortgage, the interest rate will tend to be higher. However, you won’t be paying back the principal on the bridging loan, so your repayments may be lower than you expect.
If your circumstances change and you’re able to repay the bridging loan more quickly than you expected, we won’t charge you extra – there are no redemption penalties on our bridging loans.
